Purchases and appointments
Prices are displayed and charged in euro. Appointment availability is shown at checkout and is not confirmed until payment and booking processing succeed. The customer is responsible for providing accurate contact, billing and appointment information.
By purchasing, booking or signing up for a Language Proficiency Test, the candidate confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions in full.
Rescheduling
Official Exams and Practice Tests include one free self-service reschedule when completed at least three hours before the scheduled start. Booking management is available only through the signed-in customer area.
Cancellations and refunds
A cancellation qualifies for a refund only when requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled start. The refundable amount is the amount paid minus a fixed €30 processing fee. Cancellations and refunds are requested by email and handled manually.
Late arrival, non-attendance and technical failures
The examiner waits for 10 minutes after the scheduled start. If the candidate has not joined and no technical failure is identified, the booking is treated as a no-show, no service is provided and the payment is forfeited.
If an identified candidate-side or examiner-side technical failure prevents the session from starting or continuing after a 10-minute reconnection period, the appointment is rescheduled without charge.
Lessons and question-database access
Purchased lessons are scheduled directly with the assigned teacher. Question-database access lasts for one year from activation. Access is personal and may not be shared, resold or used to reproduce the protected question content.
Examination Integrity and Prohibited Conduct
L6 Aviation applies a zero-tolerance policy to cheating, attempted cheating, impersonation, unauthorised assistance and any other conduct intended to compromise the integrity of a Language Proficiency Test.
Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:
- receiving assistance from another person during the examination;
- using unauthorised notes, scripts, prompts, translation tools, artificial intelligence tools or communication devices;
- recording, copying, reproducing or distributing examination content without permission;
- allowing another person to complete any part of the examination on the candidate’s behalf;
- impersonating another candidate or arranging for another person to take the examination;
- providing false identification or materially false candidate information;
- attempting to interfere with examination systems, recordings or assessment records; and
- obtaining or attempting to obtain confidential examination material improperly.
Where L6 Aviation reasonably suspects prohibited conduct, it may pause or terminate the examination, withhold the result or certificate and investigate the circumstances before issuing a final decision.
Where cheating or other serious examination misconduct is confirmed, L6 Aviation may:
- invalidate the examination and any result or certificate arising from it;
- refuse to issue or withdraw the relevant certificate;
- refuse a refund or require the candidate to pay for any subsequent examination, subject to applicable law;
- restrict or refuse future examination services where proportionate;
- retain the relevant evidence and investigation findings in accordance with applicable record-retention requirements; and
- report the matter, together with the relevant supporting evidence, to the competent aviation authority, licensing authority, law-enforcement body or other authorised organisation where required or permitted by law.
The candidate will be informed of the decision and the grounds for it. Any dispute concerning the application of this section may be submitted through the internal appeal and escalation procedure set out in these Terms and Conditions.
L6 Aviation will not knowingly report an allegation as confirmed misconduct before completing an appropriate review of the available evidence, except where immediate notification is required by law or by the competent authority.
Appeals and Escalation of Language Proficiency Test Results
Internal appeal
A candidate who wishes to dispute the outcome of a Language Proficiency Test may request a formal internal appeal.
The appeal must be submitted in writing to L6 Aviation within 10 working days of receiving the official test result. The candidate must clearly state the grounds for the appeal and may provide any relevant supporting information.
L6 Aviation reserves the right, at its discretion, to charge the candidate an internal appeal fee of between €50 and €100.
The appeal will be reviewed jointly by the Head of the Language Testing Body and an independent Language Proficiency Linguistic Expert who was not involved in the original examination or assessment.
The complete examination recording and assessment documentation will be reviewed against the applicable ICAO language proficiency rating scale and L6 Aviation’s approved assessment procedures.
Where the appeal results in a revised outcome, the candidate will receive an updated result and, where applicable, a replacement certificate.
Where the original result is upheld, the candidate will be informed in writing and provided with an explanation of the outcome.
L6 Aviation will communicate the appeal outcome within 15 working days after receiving the complete appeal request.
All appeal findings and related correspondence will be retained in the candidate’s assessment file in accordance with applicable regulatory and record-retention requirements.
Escalation to the Estonian Transport Administration
A candidate who remains dissatisfied after receiving the final internal appeal outcome may request that L6 Aviation formally escalate the matter to the Estonian Transport Administration for procedural review.
Escalation is not automatic. The candidate must make a separate, clear and explicit written request for escalation.
The request must state that the candidate wishes L6 Aviation to “escalate” the case to the Estonian Transport Administration and must identify the specific procedural matter that the candidate wishes to have reviewed.
The candidate should use the following wording, or wording with the same clear meaning:
“I formally request that L6 Aviation escalate my case to the Estonian Transport Administration for procedural review. I understand that the Estonian Transport Administration will not reassess my language proficiency or change my ICAO language proficiency level.”
Continued disagreement with the result, repeated requests for reassessment or further correspondence will not be treated as a formal escalation request unless the candidate clearly requests escalation.
The Estonian Transport Administration’s review is limited to procedural matters, including:
- how the examination was conducted;
- whether the approved assessment and appeal procedures were followed;
- due process and impartiality;
- examination integrity;
- the handling or preservation of examination records; and
- the handling of the candidate’s personal data.
The Estonian Transport Administration does not act as an additional language assessor, does not determine the candidate’s language proficiency level and does not change examination scores.
Language proficiency level determinations remain the responsibility of L6 Aviation’s authorised assessors under its approved dual-rating and reconciliation procedures.
Following a valid escalation request, L6 Aviation will provide the Estonian Transport Administration with the relevant candidate file and cooperate fully with any procedural review or inquiry.
The information supplied may include:
- the examination recording;
- the original assessment and rating documentation;
- the internal appeal findings;
- relevant candidate and examination records; and
- correspondence concerning the examination, appeal and escalation.
Once the internal appeal has been completed, L6 Aviation is not required to conduct repeated reassessments of the same examination unless new material evidence is provided or further action is required by the competent authority.
